英検１級の、英作文のテンプレートはとても重要です。なぜなら、留学中にも実践で使える、英語のアウトプットの型としてそのまま使えるからです。授業中や日常でも、このテンプレートはガンガン使っていけます。
今回は、私が何冊も関連書籍を読み、ネイティブのチェックも受けた最強テンプレートを紹介したいと思います。

テンプレートの実力
私は、2019年第一回で英検一級に合格しました。Writingは素点で27/32点（84%）で、合格ラインの7割を大幅に超えています。本番はテンプレート通りに書いただけなので、私のテンプレートは８割くらい取れると想定されます。実際に、構成（テンプレート）の部分点は満点でした。
英作文とは？
日本語の作文とは全く違うということを理解するのが第一歩です。英作文とは、言い換えるとエッセーです。エッセーは書き方（型）が決まっているのが特徴で、テンプレートを覚えることが重要です。
テンプレートとは、結論→理由３つ→（再度）結論です。５行エッセーとも呼ばれ、下記のHPが参考になります。

英検の英作文の内容は？
まずは英検の過去問から、指示事項を見ていきましょう。
● Write an essay on the given TOPIC.
● Give THREE reasons to support your answer.
● Structure: introduction, main body, and conclusion.
● Suggested length: 200–240 words
● Write your essay in the space provided on Side B of your answer sheet. Any writing outside the space will not be graded.

まさに５行エッセーですね。５行エッセーはハーバード大学でも通用する型です。つまり、留学や外国で働く時にも使えます。

英検一級のテンプレート
参考書籍を参考に作成し、ネイティブチェックも入れたものを紹介します。トピックは「Should compulsory retirement be abolished?」です。
以下、太字がテンプレートになります。（）は代替表現になります。
＜序論：一般論→自身と反対の立場の紹介→（逆説で）自分の結論＞
Nowadays, most countries have compulsory retirement system. Some people insist that the system is necessary because it enables company to recruit new employees regularly. However (Despite this), I believe that (In my opinion) we should abolish the system for the following reasons.
＜理由①：理由→具体例→まとめ＞
Firstly, many elderly people have the ability to work and contribute to the economy even after they reach their sixties. For example (To illustrate), most of the executives in my current company are over sixty years old and they manage to run the company very well. Therefore, the knowledge and skills they have are necessary to maintain the business performance.＜理由②：同上＞
Secondly, it is important to encourage elderly people to keep working if they have the motivation. One of the reasons for this is (That’s because) the amount of pension they get has been decreasing yearly and it is not enough for them to live. Finally, elderly people can have positive impacts on younger generations. For instance, younger employees can learn how to work effectively by seeing the elderly with a lot of experience. 実際に練習したら添削してもらう
テンプレートを身につけたら、過去問でどんどん練習しましょう。私は一つのトピックについて賛成と反対の両面で書いていました。これは二次面接のQ&Aでとても役立ちますが、当時は重要性に気づいていませんでした。添削はスキルシェアサービスのココナラでお願いしており、１問（反対賛成の２つ）で1,000円でやってもらいました。信じられないほどコスパが良かったです。
まとめ
紹介したテンプレートを覚えれば、英検一級の英作文の準備はバッチリです。試験だけでなく、実際に留学しても、５行エッセーは授業の発言、レポート、プレゼンに至るまであらゆる場面で使えることがわかりました。英検一級の勉強を通じて、こうした型を自分の中に叩き込んでくださいね。
